Meet RUA founder and formulator Kristina Dunn—a natural skincare expert cultivating expertise in her field for over 15 years. She is a former fashion designer, full-time DJ, award-winning formulator, and graduate of Formula Botanica, where she holds diplomas in Organic Skincare Formulation, Organic Cosmetic Science, Anti-Aging Skincare, and Beauty Brand Management. In addition to her expertise, she is also an IPHM-accredited instructor in facial yoga and massage.

As a formulator, she develops skincare with intention—from selecting high-performing plant-based ingredients to building strong local Norwegian partnerships that enhance sustainability by transforming by-product waste into primary cosmetic ingredients. She is also dedicated to pushing the anti-plastic skincare movement and is a forerunner in circular skincare (she is a former Greenpeace activist too!).

Her minimal, high-performing Scandi routine delivers visible results: skincare that deeply nourishes and hydrates, leaving the skin soothed, soft to the touch, and glowing with vitality—all produced in-house in RUA’s CO₂-neutral lab in Norway.

Kristina’s ‘less is more’ vision blends sophistication with simplicity. Her years of research and dedication to natural beauty place her at the forefront of modern, couture skincare.

We strive to be a sustainable skincare brand by incorporating wild harvested, organically grown, 100% plant-based ingredients in our formulations. All products are cruelty free and we do not use harmful chemicals or preservatives. 

We are a creator to customer brand, meaning all products are produced in small batches and are as fresh as possible. 

To reduce our C02 footprint, over 90% of our ingredients and packaging are sourced from Europe.

Our packaging is made from sustainable paper sources and contains plant-based glue and laminate. Our dropper tops can be easily broken apart for recycling. Our glass bottles are made of white opal glass. Follow your community's guidelines on how to recycle these materials.
